2014 ends in a couple of hours so what better time to reflect on this year as a whole. There have been many ups and downs, a few expected things and many unexpected things. I think this year is one where I have learnt the most about me, who I am, who I want to be and why I am me. It has been a year of personal growth in many ways. For me 2014 didn't start in the best way, mainly due to me and my mental health/mind. However I really have progressed and can happily say I am finishing the year in a lot better state. I have learnt what happiness is and how to feel happy (especially on my own). I have also got a different perspective on things in my life and those surrounding me.
Here are 14 things I have learnt this year, which all together have shaped me and my life today.
- Failure is not fatal
- Drink lots of water
- Positive mind = positive life
- Not everyone you lose is a loss
- Happiness is the most important thing
- Take a chance, it may lead to something great
- Live in the moment
- Run
- One friend can change your whole life
- Start today, not tomorrow
- Remove negativity from your life
- Appreciate the small things, one day they may be the big things
- Think for yourself
- Never give up. Ever
2014 you've been alright, but 2015 you will be great.
So here's to a happy new year, I hope you achieve everything you want to in the next year.
M.
