Here's a little peak into my bedroom. I love my room so much. I have made such an effort to create a space where I can relax, but also work when I need to. I think I've achieved that in my little loft space.
1. I love having my record player come radio next to my bed. It means I can listen to the radio (Radio 1 of course) in the mornings, then come the evening, its all about playing a record, maybe London Grammar or Of Monsters & Men. This area also acts as a bed side table, where I have a little elephant jug that my mum recently gave to me, as I have a love for elephants. Also I always keep a bottle of water here, because you never know when you'll get thirsty. In the corner are some peacock feathers and other decorative things (I do not know the real name of them). Apparently peacock feathers are associated with bad luck... well I think they're pretty so that makes up for any bad luck caused by them!
2. A chalk board come door come motivational quote board. I love this space to note any quotes that I feel will help me with general motivation in life. Every morning I see it and tend to read over them, just as a reminder.
3. MY BED! One word, heaven. I have just a comfy bed, it is just perfect to chill out on during the day, and to rest my eyes at night time. You may notice a little Eeyore cuddly toy chilling on the pillow. Well Eeyore is something that is always on my bed, my comforter I guess. And yes, even at the age of twenty I have a comforter! On another note, I really think my bed could do with some cushions chucked on it, so I'll have to look into get some.
4. This is my desk or workstation. I like to sit here whilst working, as if I lay on my bed, I end up falling asleep. I have a DAB digital radio to put on in the background whilst working, along with a few notebooks/diaries, and also a little book of confidence. There is a palm plant, which I love as it looks so tropical and makes the desk look alive (if that makes sense). I have a eco candle, scented of white jasmine, smells divine, and I have a little red elephant that my Grandma gifted to me, which comes in handy as an earring holder! I love the map on the wall, I often look at it dreaming of places to go, and to the side of it is a few polaroids I took over the summer.
5. My huge window. I love how much light this lets in, and you'll often find myself staring up at it daydreaming whilst I should be doing some work or something important. Nothing can beat the sun streaming through the window on a clear blue day, and there's nothing like the noise of rain hitting the window in the night to gently sooth you to sleep.
